What is the meaning of the product status level?

• Published - Product has passed validation checks, and is available to retailers 
• Rejected - Product did not pass validation checks; edits can still be made to update the product so it can be published
• Waiting Registration Response - Product has passed validation checks, but is a new GTIN or has significant changes in that attributes used by the Global Registry; once the product details have been validated by the Global Registry, the status will automatically update 

If a published product has an availability period specified, the status will update to Discontinued or Cancelled once the end date has passed. Discontinued will only appear once the product is no longer available in any market - once a product reaches either status, it can no longer be updated. 

Products are removed from the system entirely after a period of time once they reach Discontinued or Cancelled statuses.
