The Groups page allows you to create and manage product groupings, which can be used through the Filters to limit the products that are displayed in your eCI results. By assigning your products into certain groups, you apply a taxonomy to your product which allows you to shape your data specific to those classifications.
For instance, if you sell a variety of products in a range of packaging sizes, using the Groups function allows you to assign these products to their correct classification.
When a filter is applied, these individual groups will appear, allowing you to select your chosen classifications - if you want to view only Confectionery products that have a weight under 200g, you can select the relevant tick boxes to filter and display this data. Additionally, the function gives you the autonomy over the classification of your products rather than relying on the default option eCI offers (Brand) as you can choose to categorise your products to their own specifications.
Product groups can include both your products and competitors, but will only display data on the Owner selected
Note: If you do not use Groups, the default display of products will be broken down by Brand. When using the filter selection, your display will default to Selected: All
